Our Workshop / Studio

Before you decide which company will restore or repair your furniture, please call us for an appointment to come in and take a short tour of our workshop. It is very important to know where your furniture will be during the process of restoration. You want it to be secure and safe while being restored. Our 5,500 sq. ft. building is monitored by a security company 24 hours a day.

The most important thing, however, is seeing an example of the company’s work. We always have several pieces completed and waiting for delivery that you can see. While on the tour you will also see the various stages that the work goes through; from stripping to repairing, parts making, and the application of the final color and finish.

Several companies offer refinishing “in your home”. How does that work? Will they be stripping your lamp table in your garage and trying to put a fine finish on it? Certainly, some touch-up processes can and should be done on site. However, glue needs time to dry; the “finish” coat needs time to cure. Do you really want dust and chemical odor in or near your home?  Furniture repairing and restoration must be done in a controlled area, not on your back porch.

Make one of your first questions to the company you are considering, “Can I come to your workshop and see your work?”

You certainly can come to our shop to see our work first-hand.
